Dimensional Ink Games has announced the release of the Absolute Kryptonian Time Capsule, the newest in-game content for DC Universe Online. Inspired by DC Comics' Absolute Superman mythology, the Time Capsule expands the game's ever-evolving Multiverse with Kryptonian-themed abilities, gear, and collectibles rooted in the legacy of Superman and the advanced world of Krypton.
The Absolute Kryptonian Time Capsule delivers a wide range of rewards designed to enhance both gameplay and character customization. Among the most notable additions is the Sunstone Dust Blast Iconic Ability, a powerful new supercharge that unleashes Kryptonian energy across a wide area. The ability dynamically scales to player roles, offering damage output, ally shielding, healing over time, breakout support, and control immunity depending on playstyle.
Players can also earn Absolute Kryptonian gear, featuring bold designs inspired by Superman's heritage, along with new cosmetic items such as the Last Son Aura, Kryptonian collection pieces, and exclusive emblem styles. Additional highlights include Kryptonian-inspired hairstyles and the Omega Prime Helmet Style, further expanding personalization options.
For players who unlock 25 Absolute Kryptonian Time Capsules, the reward is the prestigious Omega Prime Sword Weapon Style Set, which includes one-handed, two-handed, and back weapon styles that embody the mythic power of Krypton. As with all Time Capsules, players will also find valuable progression resources such as Nth Metal, Ally Favor, Catalysts, Source Marks, and Quarks.
Locked Absolute Kryptonian Time Capsules can be obtained by defeating enemies throughout DC Universe Online and may be opened using Stabilizers. Unlocked versions will also be available directly through the in-game Marketplace, allowing players immediate access without the need for Stabilizers. Each capsule offers a choice of three rewards plus a bonus item, providing strategic variety with every opening.
The Absolute Kryptonian Time Capsule is available now in DC Universe Online, giving players the opportunity to harness Kryptonian power and celebrate one of DC's most enduring legacies within the game's expansive Multiverse.
