Almost every single episode of Syfy's hit Van Helsing series is officially free to stream on an underrated platform.

Fans of Van Helsing can officially stream almost the entire series for free on Tubi. As of now, the first four of five seasons of the hit series are available to stream on Tubi, although fans will have to look elsewhere to finish watching Van Helsing in its entirety, at least for now.

Created for television by Neil LaBute and loosely inspired by Zenescope Entertainment's Helsing series of graphic novels, Van Helsing premiered on Syfy back in 2016. He introduced audiences to Kelly Overton's Vanessa Van Helsing. A descendant of the legendary Abraham Van Helsing of Dracula fame, Vanessa is the last hope of saving the world from the vampiric hordes that rose in the wake of the eruption of the Yellowstone Caldera, which left every corner of the globe blanketed in ash and devoid of sunlight.

Alongside Overton, Van Helsing stars Jonathan Scarfe as former Marine and Vanessa's bodyguard Axel Miller, Christopher Heyerdahl as the enigmatic survivor Samuel, Vincent Gale as the vampire Phil "Flesh" Fleischman, and Rykiya Bernard as medical examiner Sarah "Doc" Carol. In the series' fifth season, Nicole Muñoz and Keeya King step into the spotlight as Vanessa's daughters, Violent and Jacqueline Van Helsing.

While the first season of Van Helsing was met with largely positive reviews from critics, audiences weren't quite so kind to the series. As of the time of writing, Van Helsing Season 1 holds an 82% "Fresh" rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, based on an average of 11 verified critical reviews. For comparison, Season 1 holds a mere 55% audience-generated "Popcornmeter" rating, as averaged across more than 250 verified user reviews.

In spite of the relatively middling response that the series received as a whole, Van Helsing continues to be a favorite among fans. Although many were understandably concerned by the series' drastic shift during its fifth and final season, Van Helsing's final episodes were still widely lauded by critics, all while leaving longtime viewers wanting for a more decisive end to the then-overtly convoluted story at hand.

In June 2024, it was reported that a new Van Helsing series was officially in the works, this time at CBS. The new series is being written by novelist Jonathan Lee, best known for his 2010 debut novel, Who Is Mr Satoshi?, which received widespread acclaim at the time of its release. The new series was reported as being executive produced by Elementary creator Rob Doherty, alongside Carl Beverly and Sarah Timberman.

The official logline for the new Van Helsing from CBS describes the series as, "a contemporary take on the monster hunter Dr. Abraham Van Helsing, who uses his uniquely inquisitive mind working alongside his ex, relentless FBI special agent Mina Harker, to solve New York City’s most harrowing cases."

Seasons 1-4 of Van Helsing are currently available for streaming on Tubi.
