Hot Toys Unveils 1/6th Scale Superman Collectible Figure Celebrating 40 Years of "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns"

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns" by Frank Miller, Hot Toys has announced the release of a highly detailed 1/6th scale Superman collectible figure inspired by the character's imposing appearance in the landmark series. The new release pays tribute to one of the most influential graphic novels in comic book history, capturing the Man of Steel as he appears in Miller's dystopian vision of a divided America and a Gotham City on the brink.
Set within the gritty narrative of The Dark Knight Returns, Superman is reimagined as a government-backed enforcer whose loyalty places him on a collision course with a returning Batman. As the Dark Knight emerges from retirement to restore order to Gotham, the ideological and physical clash between the two icons becomes one of the defining moments in comic book storytelling. Hot Toys' latest collectible faithfully recreates this powerful interpretation of Superman, reflecting the bold, muscular art style that defined the series.
Standing approximately 34cm tall, the figure features a newly developed, highly muscular body designed to embody the character's massive physique as illustrated in the comic. The expertly tailored suit is crafted from blue elastic fabric to accentuate the sculpted form and is complemented by the classic red-and-yellow chest emblem, a yellow belt, and a red cape with embedded wire for dynamic posing. The cape is embossed with the iconic Superman insignia, allowing collectors to recreate dramatic flight and battle stances.
The release includes two newly developed head sculpts: one capturing Superman's stoic, authoritative presence, and another depicting a battle-damaged expression with clenched teeth and detailed blood paint application. A selection of six interchangeable hands - including fists, relaxed hands, claw gesture, and flying gesture - enhances display versatility.
