Marvel’s Kevin Feige took the stage at Disney’s D23 last night and brought with him two trailers and some casting announcements. The trailers were for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday and the Disney+ series VisionQuest, the third series in the trilogy that also included WandaVision and Agatha All Along. And while it was interesting seeing Thor confront Doctor Doom and Paul Bettany running around with James Spader… the biggest news out of the presentation was the announcement/confirmation of the cast for the upcoming X-Men film. Feige brought out director Jack Schreier who had led the Thunderbolts last year and then Sadie Sink who has already portrayed psychic mutant powerhouse Jean Grey in this summer’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Then they brought out two cast members that had been announced by media sources previously but not confirmed by the studio, Kit Conner as Scott Summer aka Cyclops and Samara Weaving playing Emma Frost aka White Queen. Then the new names came out, Christopher Abbott as the new Professor Charles Xavier, Inde Navarette as Rogue and Maya Boyd as Storm.
