This SUCKED. I mean, maybe I would have liked it more if it weren’t canon. But it is. At the end of “Fall Of Hulks” (another underwhelming event in a year of underwhelming Marvel events), MODOK had created his own Hulk army using gamma science and, in the process, “Hulked Out” a bunch of characters who were exposed to the radiation. In this event, a half-dozen storylines are compressed into a big event with a sprawling cast and no real focus or purpose, other than to show what happens when guys like Deadpool, Spider-Man, Thor and others are exposed to gamma. If this interests you, or if you like big, clunky fight scenes, it’s a solid read. Personally, I really enjoyed the early issues of (Red) Hulk, where I got my fill of big Hulk fists punching things. By this time this comes out, I’m a little tired of it all. Plus there are liberal helpings of alternative universes and time travel, which are rarely a good thing.
