Director Zack Snyder marked a significant milestone in cinematic history by commemorating the 15th anniversary of the first photograph he ever took of Henry Cavill as Superman - a moment that helped launch one of the most iconic portrayals of the Last Son of Krypton in modern film.

"15 years ago, on this day, I pressed the shutter and met Superman," stated Snyder. "The first photo I ever took of Henry Cavill - moments before he stepped into legend."

Taken during a camera test for "Man of Steel" the photo features Cavill donning a version of Christopher Reeve's legendary Superman costume, linking two generations of actors who have embodied the character for audiences worldwide. Taken before Cavill officially stepped into the role, the candid image offers a rare glimpse behind the scenes of a defining chapter in superhero cinema.

Cavill's tenure as Superman began with "Man of Steel" in 2013 and continued through "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" (2016), "Justice League" (2017), "Zack Snyder's Justice League" (2021), and "Black Adam" (2022), establishing him as one of the most recognizable actors to portray Clark Kent on the big screen.

The anniversary tribute has resonated deeply within the global fan community, underscoring the enduring cultural impact of the character and the creative collaboration between Cavill and Snyder that helped redefine Superman for a new generation.
