The second season of Daredevil: Born Again is already taking shape, with a new image showing a faithful version of the villain Bullseye. Wilson Bethel returns as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, the masked assassin better known as Bullseye. The actor, known for his role in Hart of Dixie, first appeared as the character in Netflix’s Daredevil and is among several cast members returning for the Disney+ continuation.
Production on Season 2 finished earlier this year, and the show is scheduled for release in 2026. Viewers had already learned of Bethel’s return, and the image confirms that the new version of his costume takes inspiration from the comic books. The creative team appears committed to giving fans a version of Bullseye that reflects the character’s long-running reputation in Marvel lore.
The updated costume and tone suggest the series is drawing from the same approach used with Charlie Cox’s Daredevil suit, maintaining a grounded, realistic look. The production also seems careful to avoid any similarities to the 2003 film version, where Colin Farrell portrayed Bullseye with a bullseye mark on his head. This time, the series is shaping its own direction while staying closer to the spirit of the comics.

Bullseye has long been considered one of Daredevil’s most notorious enemies. The assassin killed Elektra, impersonated Daredevil to damage his reputation, and even other villains often view him as unpredictable. His role in the new season could raise the emotional and physical stakes for Matt Murdock, as the show continues to explore darker territory involving Kingpin and The Punisher.
Jon Bernthal’s return as The Punisher is also expected, following a recent Marvel special presentation featuring the character. The new season will reportedly tie some of those events into Daredevil’s storyline. In addition, Kristen Ritter is set to reprise her role as private investigator Jessica Jones. Ritter first played the character in the Netflix series, and her inclusion signals Marvel’s continued interest in connecting past and current shows.
Fans have speculated that other familiar faces could appear as well. Mike Colter, who portrayed Luke Cage, and Finn Jones, who played Iron Fist, have been rumored to return, though neither has been confirmed. If they do, their involvement could support a storyline in which Matt Murdock coordinates with other street-level heroes to confront the growing threat of Kingpin’s control over New York City. For now, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 looks positioned to expand Marvel’s grittier corner of the universe when it arrives in 2026.
