Disney+ has released the long-awaited teaser for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, set to premiere on March 24. The trailer drops heavy clues about Matt Murdock’s next battle as Mayor Fisk launches his Anti-Vigilante Task Force and declares war on heroes who operate outside the law. But this time, Daredevil isn’t fighting alone. For the first time since her Netflix series ended six years ago, Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones is back, ready to step into the fight.

Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 | Teaser Trailer
Marvel’s Brad Winderbaum, the studio’s head of Streaming, Television, and Animation, says fans should expect “a lot of very cool surprises” as Jessica returns. He teased that the show “reestablishes” the tough private investigator after years away from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and catches audiences up on what she’s been doing. How much has Jessica changed — and how much of the world around her has?
The new trailer gives fans their first look at Daredevil’s latest red suit, Jessica’s streetwise attitude back in action, and a grim New York City under the thumb of Mayor Wilson Fisk, played by Vincent D’Onofrio. But it’s one quick moment that’s made the biggest noise online — Foggy Nelson, who was believed dead, appears again. Played by Elden Henson, the character’s surprise return has left viewers scrambling to guess what’s real and what’s a flashback. Is Foggy alive, or are fans just seeing echoes of Matt’s grief?

The resurrection wasn’t part of the plan when Daredevil: Born Again first started filming. After shutdowns during the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, the series went through a full creative overhaul under showrunner Dario Scardapane. This reset reconnected the new Disney+ version to the original Netflix storyline, bringing back not only Foggy Nelson but also Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page. That shift might be the reason fans feel the old gritty heart of the Netflix show beating again beneath the glossy MCU surface.
Charlie Cox returns as Matt Murdock, still struggling to balance his life between lawyer and vigilante. With Jessica Jones back in the picture, the two could form a powerful alliance against Fisk’s crackdown. Wilson Bethel is also back as Dex Poindexter, the unhinged marksman once known as Bullseye, while Jon Bernthal’s Punisher won’t appear this season due to his own upcoming Marvel special before joining Spider-Man: Brand New Day with Tom Holland.

The biggest question now is what comes next. Will Daredevil: Born Again restore the spirit of Marvel’s darker, more grounded heroes in the post-Netflix era? Or will Disney’s safer approach tame the grit that made the originals resonate with fans? With rumors of a third season already swirling, viewers might soon find out if this is truly the rebirth of the Defenders — or just a nostalgic illusion.
Daredevil: Born Again returns to Disney+ on March 24, 2026.
