| Eclipse Monthly #1 |
Eclipse Monthly v1 #1, 1983 - The crowded cover displays several familiar characters, all drawn by their respective artists. Steve Ditko's
, making his first appearance, is the result of an electrical experiment that goes awry. The hero's transformation scene is Ditko at his most visually arresting. In Marshall Rogers' tale, a boy invents a pair of futuristic sneakers. Cap'n Quick and a Foozle is fun, imaginative, and includes some striking special effects (see interior page below). Rogers handles the kid genre surprisingly well. This issue also includes artwork by Doug Wildey.
