Frank Grillo to Reprise Rick Flag Sr. Role in "Man of Tomorrow"

Actor Frank Grillo has confirmed that he will return as Rick Flag Sr. in the forthcoming "Superman" (2025) follow-up film, "Man of Tomorrow". Grillo's character will reportedly take on an expanded role as the new installment continues to build the foundation of director James Gunn's evolving DC Universe.
Production on "Man of Tomorrow" is scheduled to begin in April, 2026 with filming taking place in both the United Kingdom and Georgia over the course of a multi-week shoot. The film is expected to deepen the narrative connections across the DCU while advancing the arcs introduced in the first film.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Grillo noted his enthusiasm for the direction of the upcoming film stating, "My character, Rick Flag Sr., is a big part of the sequel's story, so I'm excited about it."
