The Marvel Divas were Black Cat, Hellcat, Firestar, and Photon. I get how Black Cat’s a diva (that definitely fits the profile). Hellcat used to be a supermodel so, okay. But Firestar? She’s never been precocious before. And Photon? I mean, I guess if it’s the NEXTWAVE version then, yeah, she was a total diva there.
The book was created to be Marvel’s version of Sex in the City, according to legend.
It’s got 616 heroines acting like horny thirtysomethings. There is also some comic book action.
But it’s really secondary.
The series wasn’t anywhere near as big a hit as the Sex in the City show was, though. In fact, it ended up being accused by fans of being misogynistic. Was it?
I dunno. The real issue was that it was boring and a pretty dumb idea. Nothing worth reporting about here. Move along.
