Mattel, Inc. unveiled it's new line of DC action figures earlier today at the Nuremberg International Toy Fair. The launch marks Mattel's reacquisition of the DC Comics license, previously held by McFarlane Toys since 2019, reaffirming the company's commitment to delivering high-quality, collectible figures for fans of all ages.
The new 6.5-inch articulated figures include iconic DC characters such as Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash, and Robin, alongside notable villains including The Joker and Deathstroke. Each figure has been designed with enhanced articulation, including double-jointed knees and thigh swivels, to allow a wide range of dynamic poses, while remaining compatible with other popular Mattel product lines.
In addition to the core collection scheduled for a fall 2026 release, Mattel announced a premium collector-focused series planned for January, 2027. This series will feature elevated detailing and accessories, catering specifically to adult collectors and long-time DC enthusiasts.
Mattel's presence at the Nuremberg Toy Fair underscores the company's renewed investment in the DC Comics portfolio, celebrating both the enduring legacy of DC characters and their relevance to a new generation of fans. Updates regarding preorders, distribution, and additional figures will be shared in the coming months.
