Netflix's KPop Demon Hunters are about to return with a new title that fans can immediately take home for themselves.

Per Bleeding Cool, fans of KPop Demon Hunters won't have to wait long before they can bring home the hit animated film's official graphic novel. Currently slated to arrive in stores everywhere on March 31, KPop Demon Hunters: The Movie in Comics will retell the original film in its iconic animated style.

The official solicit synopsis for KPop Demon Hunters: The Movie in Comics from Random House reads, "When K-pop superstars Rumi, Mira, and Zoey aren’t selling out stadiums, they protect the world from demons with their musical abilities. Follow their band HUNTR/X, as they make music and face their greatest challenge yet—Saja Boys, the hottest new boy band with a dark secret. This official graphic novel retells Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters through a series of comics using full-color images and dialogue from the hit movie."

Created and directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans from a screenplay co-written along with Danya Jimenez and Hannah McMechan, KPop Demon Hunters premiered on Netflix in June 2025 and quickly became the streaming giant's most watched animated feature. The film follows the K-pop girl group HUNTR/X comprised of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, who spend their time off-stage protecting the world from demonic forces.

KPop Demon Hunters was met with rave reviews upon its release, with the film currently boasting a 92% "Certified Fresh" rating via review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. KPop Demon Hunters also holds a near-perfect 99% audience generated "Popcornmeter" rating, as averaged across more than 500 verified user-submitted reviews.

KPop Demon Hunters made its way into theaters with a sing-along version of the feature. Unfortunately, the film failed to make any major waves at the box office beyond its opening weekend, ultimately grossing less than $25 million against a more than $100 million budget.

In November 2025, it was reported that KPop Demon Hunters, then in its second run at the box office, closed out the Halloween holiday at only $600,000 in total ticket sales. One unnamed insider in the distribution industry stated quite simply at the time, "I don't think there's more juice left in that squeeze."

While there has been plenty of speculation regarding what the future looks like for KPop Demon Hunters, creators Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans have been adamant that fans won't be seeing a live-action adaptation anytime soon. "I think it will be so much more challenging to make [KPop Demon Hunters] live-action," Kang said back in October.

"It's not just about recreating real life, it's about a kind of distillation of it. You're trying to push everything — if it's a shape, you push the shape, if it's an idea, you push the idea, if it's a joke...that does create a certain framework that works really well with this tone. So yeah, I don't know. It would be hard," Appelhans added.

KPop Demon Hunters: The Movie in Comics from Random House goes on sale on March 31.
