One of the most underrated Image Comics titles of the past decade is about to hit the small screen courtesy of American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy.

Per a recent Twitter post from fan account The AHS Zone, audiences got their first look at producer Ryan Murphy's upcoming television adaptation of Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley's hit Image Comics series — The Beauty. Readers can check out the images, which showcase numerous members of The Beauty's star-studded ensemble cast, for themselves down below.

Written by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley, The Beauty began back in 2015 and introduced readers to a world where the public's obsession with outward appearances has given rise to a culture wherein much of the population has willingly subjected themselves to a seemingly harmless disease in the hopes of being beautiful. Of course, things aren't nearly that simple, and soon enough, the mass search for physical perfection becomes something much more horrifying.

The Beauty proved to be a fast favorite among readers, with the series going on to amass a 29-issue run. While the series' final two issues were ultimately canceled in 2019, Huan and Hurley got the chance to close out their story with the release of a 48-page special, The Beauty: All Good Things One-Shot, in 2021.

The official solicit synopsis for The Beauty from Image Comics reads, "Modern society is obsessed with outward beauty. What if there was a way to guarantee you could become more and more beautiful every day? What if it was a sexually transmitted disease? In the world of The Beauty, physical perfection is attainable. The vast majority of the population has taken advantage of it, but Detectives Foster and Vaughn will soon discover it comes at a terrible price."

The live-action adaptation of The Beauty is set to star longtime Murphy collaborator Evan Peters in the role of Cooper Madsen, Rebecca Hall as Jordan Bennett, Anthony Ramos as The Assassin, Jeremy Pope as Jeremy, and Ashton Kutcher as The Corporation. The Beauty will also star Isabella Rossellini as Franny Forst, as well as Bella Hadid, Lux Pascal, Peter Gallagher, Vincent D'Onofrio, Rob Yang, Billy Eichner, Jessica Alexander, John Carroll Lynch, and Meghan Trainor in a variety of still unspecified roles.

FX's The Beauty will see FBI agents Madsen and Bennett investigate the truth behind a recent string of deaths of international supermodels. Soon enough, they uncover the existence of The Beauty's eponymous virus, all while unwittingly stepping right into the crosshairs of the shadowy tech billionaire known only as The Corporation. Soon enough, Madsen and Bennett are on the run for their lives from The Corporation's relentless Assassin, forcing them to race across the globe in the search for an answer to the swiftly spreading epidemic.

The Beauty is slated to premiere on FX on Jan. 21, 2026.
