The excitement keeps rolling along for the creative content flowing out of the doors of Dark Horse Comics, and especially when it comes to the legendary, incomparable sci-fi Star Wars franchise. But with that good news comes a bit of the bad. In that the latest comic saga carried by Poe Dameron as the central figure, a great ride will soon end, and in just a few days from now on Dec. 10, 2025.
Dameron, an X-wing fighter pilot and commander in the Resistance's Starfighter Corps, portrayed in live-action films by the very same Oscar Isaac who brought Marvel's Moon Knight to the masses for Disney+, is truly up against it in his Star Wars comic adventure and things come to a head for him and his compatriots in Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories--Codebreaker #4 — as detailed by Dark Horse Comics' summation of the series finale.
Cornered by the Banshee of Bestine, Poe and BB-8 have only one way to escape with the code breaker and their lives. The Resistance pilot must improvise for a last-ditch dog fight against his nemesis. What follows is a feat of flying that will take all of Poe’s knowledge, skill, and dumb luck to survive! Don’t miss the high-octane conclusion to this miniseries!

For the few who might be unaware, Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories—Codebreaker serves as a miniseries that operates in four parts. It was originally launched on April 30, 2025, and Ethan Sacks wrote it as canon under the umbrella of the Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories series, and Poe Dameron's air of confidence — borderline overconfidence, at times — combine with BB-8's refusal to silence his displeasure(s) to the Resistance's pilot in the face of the First Order.
Poe Dameron Can't Afford to Lose in Star Wars
Things really get active when Dameron and BB-8 are tasked with going on a mission to find the First Order tech known as the Codebreaker, a device being used to decipher/decode messages being sent from and by the Resistance. It's a mission that is critical to the success of the Resistance, but no one said acquiring it would be easy; and that's where the TIE fighter pilot comes in, a very real and able adversary who can equal Dameron's abilities in the cockpit.
If he can't outduel the TIE fighter pilot, the mission will be dead in the water, to say the very least, and the Resistance will suffer a massive blow to its operations that could lead to the First Order eventually obliterating them. No pressure, right? Anyone looking to catch up on the Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories--Codebreaker series before Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories--Codebreaker #4 becomes available on Dec. 10, can check out the previous releases from April 30, July 2 and August 27, respectively, at their nearest local comic book store. But be warned, and as you can see in the gallery above, it's probably going to blast your socks off.
