Absolute Batman writer Scott Snyder just pointed out a major win for DC Comics, but that doesn't mean Marvel lost out on the top-selling books of last year.

In a recent Twitter post, Absolute Batman scribe Scott Snyder noted that the fan-favorite series claimed 15 of the top 31 spots on the list of the bestselling comic book titles of 2025. Snyder wrote, "Thank you so much. We feel so lucky to get to work on this book together and so grateful to you guys for everything."

Notably, the number one and number three spots on the list were taken by the Deadpool/Batman #1 and Batman/Deadpool #1 one-shot anthology comics, which marked the first major Marvel and DC Comics crossover in years. Deadpool/Batman #1 arrived in comic book stores on September 17, and offered readers stories from a half-dozen all-star creative teams.

Deadpool/Batman #1 quickly proved to be a smashing success with fans, particularly those who had been hoping for a return to the Amalgam Universe. For the issue's second printing, Deadpool/Batman #1 featured a new cover by artist Ryan Stegman showcasing Logo, the Amalgam Universe's combination of DC Comics' Lobo and Marvel Comics' Wolverine, in all his gritty glory.

Batman/Deadpool #1 was released on November 19, and featured yet another round of crossover stories featuring DC and Marvel fans' favorite characters. As noted by the official solicit synopsis for Batman/Deadpool #1 from DC and Marvel Comics, "The Dark Knight and the Merc with a Mouth team up for an adventure so mind-bending you'll think you’re in a dream! Brought to you by legendary creators Grant Morrison and Dan Mora!"

In December, the next Marvel and DC crossover comic was revealed in the form of the upcoming Superman/Spider-Man #1. Set to arrive in stores on March 25, 2026, Superman/Spider-Man #1 will continue the trend of providing multiple stories from multiple creative teams, with the issue's main story being written by Mark Waid and illustrated by Jorge Jiménez.

The official solicit synopsis for Superman/Spider-Man #1 from DC and Marvel Comics reads, "When journalists Clark Kent and Peter Parker find themselves chasing the same story, the conspiracy they uncover could change the world—especially if Brainiac and Doctor Octopus have anything to say about it. (And we bet they do!)"

"Good thing our intrepid newshounds are secretly Superman and the Amazing Spider-Man. To bring this clash of reporters‑turned‑heroes to life, Mark Waid and Jorge Jiménez join forces to headline DC’s Superman/Spider-Man #1 with an unforgettable lead story."
