Taylor Sheridan is not slowing down. After building one of the most successful TV franchises of the decade with Yellowstone, he’s bringing viewers something new this spring. His upcoming series The Madison is set to premiere on March 14, 2026, exclusively on Paramount+, and it’s already stirring up buzz in Hollywood and beyond. But what makes this one different from the usual Sheridan universe of ranchers, cowboys, and chaos?
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Madison is not part of the Yellowstone story. That’s right—no Duttons, no ranch, no return trips to Paradise Valley. Instead, Sheridan’s new creation aims to be something far more personal. Starring Oscar nominee Michelle Pfeiffer and Golden Globe nominee Kurt Russell, the six-episode drama focuses on family, love, and the hard choices that define who we become. Paramount describes it as Sheridan’s “most intimate work to date.”
Directed by Christina Alexandra Voros, The Madison will unfold between two very different worlds—the wide-open spaces of Montana and the bustling streets of Manhattan. It’s being billed as a love story threaded through a family drama about survival, change, and the ties that won’t break no matter how far apart people drift. The supporting cast is equally stacked, featuring Beau Garrett from Firefly Lane, Patrick J. Adams of Suits, Amiah Miller from War for the Planet of the Apes, and Matthew Fox of Lost. That’s a lot of acting firepower for a story that promises to dig deep into human emotion.
Still, The Madison won’t be the only Sheridan project hitting screens in March. Fans of Yellowstone have another reason to tune in just two weeks earlier on March 1, when Marshals debuts on CBS. The series follows Luke Grimes reprising his role as Kayce Dutton, now part of a special branch of U.S. Marshals. It’s part procedural, part neo-Western, and wholly in Sheridan’s wheelhouse. Viewers can expect horse chases, moral conflicts, and the gritty cowboy justice that made Yellowstone a hit. Joining Grimes are franchise favorites Gil Birmingham, Mo Brings Plenty, and Brecken Merrill, alongside newcomers Arielle Kebbel, Ash Santos, Tatanka Means, and Logan Marshall-Green.
Both Marshals and The Madison come at a turning point for Sheridan’s career. After years of dominating Paramount’s lineup with hits like Tulsa King, Lioness, Landman, and Mayor of Kingstown, the writer-producer has signed a new deal with NBCUniversal. The agreement gives him an eight-year first-look deal for movies and a five-year television contract starting in 2029. It’s a major move—one that could reshape Sheridan’s creative empire and shake up the streaming landscape in the years ahead.
So what happens when Sheridan steps away from the Yellowstone ranch and trades his cowboy hat for something more emotional? Can a man known for writing gunfights and family feuds deliver a love story that hits just as hard? America will find out when The Madison premieres on March 14 on Paramount+ and Marshals rides into CBS on March 1. The question isn’t whether Sheridan can surprise us—it’s how far he’ll go to do it.
